Ryan Campbell, Teacher and Director
Ryan's passion for music began as a teenager when he began playing drums in his church youth band. It wasn't long before he picked up the guitar and piano, and his desire to write his own songs led him to begin to explore the art of recording. Having taken lessons in drums, piano, guitar, and voice, Ryan most enjoys being able to mentor youth in band settings where they can not only learn their instrument but also discover the joy of creating music in community.
Ryan has 17 years of experience playing drums and guitar and completed coursework at Trevecca Nazarene University in Commercial Music studies from 2011-2013. He is also a 2010 graduate of the Recording Connection school for Audio Engineering. Ryan offers private lessons in beginner and intermediate guitar, drums, and recording, as well as beginner piano and ukulele lessons.
Apart from the 210 SoM, Ryan volunteers at Faith Community Church as the sound engineer, and is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter for the local St. Johns based band, "Wingfield." The folk/rock trio released their first full length album, "Chasing the Old Dream" in November 2017. Wingfield has been featured on the RIver Stage at the Riverside Arts Market and enjoys supporting local community events in the St. Johns area.
